Homestead Exemption (65 and over): For seniors who are eligible within the assessment year, it entitles the homeowner to a reduction for the current assessed valuation by $5000 for owner occupied buildings only. Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze: For those 65 or older having an annual total household income of $65,000 or less and having lived in the home a full 2 year tax cycle.
